Opus recently acquired North Vancouver based engineering consultancy Dayton & Knight Ltd. Opus DaytonKnight are known for their specialist water and wastewater design capability, control and instrumentation expertise, and electrical design capability.

Water Pump Restoration, United Kingdom

The project for Cardiff County Council included conserving and repairing the original metalwork and replacing the original timber frame. 

Teville Stream, Worthing, United Kingdom

Opus undertook investigations for the Environment Agency (EA), working with Jacobs UK Ltd to support the design work of the proposed realignment of Teville Stream in Worthing, providing expert advice on geotechnical data acquisition - approach, methodology and delivery.

Queens Medical Centre - Slope Stability, United Kingdom

A number of badger setts were one of the main reasons behind a significant slope instability problem in the grounds of the Queen’s Medical Centre, in Nottingham. While undertaking an inspection for another project at the Medical Centre, our engineers discovered the instability issue.

Flood modelling, Celtic Manor, United Kingdom

Opus is undertaking major work at The Celtic Manor Resort, in South Wales which will host the Ryder Cup in 2010.  The longstanding work at Celtic Manor saw Opus UK Operations Director, Alun Parfitt undertake the civil works associated with design for the Wentwood Hills course.  

Caernarfon, North Wales, United Kingdom

Opus undertook a flood study relating to the redevelopment plans at Caernarfon, for Gwynedd Council and the Welsh Assembly Government (WAG).  The study included modelling of the River Seiont (Afon Seiont) to allow redevelopment of the St Helen's Road into Caernarfon.
