Branxholme WTP Upgrade, Invercargill, New Zealand

This included investigation and pilot studies for a major plant upgrade, preliminary and detailed design, documentation, tendering, construction supervision and commissioning.  The upgrade included major modifications to the plant inlet, lime and CO2 chemical dosing, modifications to existing clarifiers and upgrading overall filter, chemical dosing, sludge treatment, control and monitoring systems.

                                                                                   

Helensville Water Treatment Plant Upgrade, Auckland, New Zealand

Rodney District Council engaged Opus to plan, design and manage the upgrading of the exisiting Helensville Water Treatment Plant which was at the end of its economic life.
The objective of the three-stage plant upgrade was to minimise project risk, optimise procurement and to ensure on-going quality water supplies for this fast growing rural district north of Auckland.

Guidelines for Drinking-Water Quality Management in New Zealand

Opus provided representation on the Expert Working Group, together with project management and the drafting of three chapters, concept design of illustrations, and editing the first full draft of the 600-page Guidelines document.
