Opus landscape architects work closely with other Opus specialists to provide the interface between the natural and built environment on a wide range of projects.

We have experts in landscape planning and environmental design throughout New Zealand and Western Australia. Our design professionals have undertaken projects that range in scale and scope, from the the design, documentation and contract administration of residential landscape works through to major government works. Our work includes urban design, educational, recreational and ecological restoration projects for New Zealand and Australian government departments, provincial and urban local authorities and private enterprise.

Main Street Upgrade Fairlie, Canterbury, New Zealand

This project combined a separate road study for Canterbury along with an upgrade, for the New Zealand Transport Agency (formerly Transit New Zealand), with a main street enhancement.  By undertaking both projects concurrently, our landscape architects and engineers were able to offer economies of scale through improved efficiency, cost effectiveness and greater communication with project teams. We provided a design solution that is grounded within the local landscape.  This is an ACENZ award winning project.

Lake Kepwari Implementation Plan, Western Australia, Australia

The initial stage of this project involved the development of a landscape concept plan by our New Zealand-based landscape architects for the rehabilitation of a flooded coal void.
