Aimed at the novice, we address how to protect heritage buildings and collections from fire. This course will allow the learner to complete an analysis of their buildings and collections, and will assist with the preparation of an action plan for fire protection. It provides an understanding of the special needs for heritage buildings and discusses the importance of conservation plans.

Built Heritage Inventory Training

This course is designed for those who would like to develop skills to identify and develop a heritage inventory for their community's built heritage.  It is aimed at the heritage enthusiast who will enjoy a fun experience - including a visit to a local heritage precinct.

This course will benefit the professional who wants to improve the quality of cultural and heritage policy or to improve their understanding of  non-regulatory methods. The training provides guidelines for local authorities and to  parties who may be submitting on district plan provisions associated with heritage protection.
