Farm Dairy Effluent System Design Accreditation

In February 2012, Opus were the first of only four companies nationwide to successfully achieve Farm Dairy Effluent System Design Accreditation after a very comprehensive assessment panel review. This accreditation provides our rural clients with the confidence that Opus has the resources and systems to continually achieve a high standard of delivery of these projects.

IPENZ Practice Note 21: Farm Dairy Effluent Pond Design and Construction, New Zealand

This industry leading IPENZ Practice Note was funded by DairyNZ and developed by an Opus team of specialist engineering and science professionals. It embodies the first industry-agreed set of good practice standards in the design and the construction of farm dairy effluent storage ponds in NZ. The practice note assists in addressing prevailing industry concerns about the environmental risks of poorly performing ponds by detailing good procedures and practices in the investigation, design and construction of new ponds. This practical reference document has been adopted by design engineers, contractors, suppliers and regional council staff. Click here for more information.
