Feature Projects

 
Penyrheol School, United Kingdom

A new £9.9m school designed by Opus is complete, following an arson attack that devastated the original building. Opus undertook the civil, structural and geotechnical engineering design of the new Penyrheol School in Swansea, which has been re-built on the site of the old teaching block, which was destroyed by flames.

Children's Hospital for Wales, United Kingdom

Opus, as part of the Interserve team, is undertaking extensive work on the £60m final phase of the Children’s Hospital for Wales.

Port Talbot Medical Centre, United Kingdom

A state-of-the-art Medical Centre, designed by Opus, opened to the public in Port Talbot  to provide a one-stop shop for patients and is the first of its kind in Wales. 

University of Wales Newport, United Kingdom

The building design uses the characteristics of the site, a narrow strip of land adjacent to the river and in close proximity to the city centre to create a landmark building, which through its transparency by the use of glass and its ‘flying roof’ structure, will create an iconic environment that encourages interaction between the interior and the exterior.

Wrexham Maelor Hospital, United Kingdom

Opus is providing the engineering design for a new leading-edge mental health facility at Wrexham Maelor Hospital. The buildings, quadrant shaped on plan, are linked via a glazed corridor and feature open courtyards at first floor level, which will be used for patient relaxation areas.
