This project combined a separate road study for Canterbury and upgrade, for Transit NZ, with a main street enhancement.  By undertaking both projects concurrently our landscape architects and engineers were able to offer economies of scale through improved efficiency, cost effectiveness and greater communication with project teams. We provided a design solution that is grounded within the local landscape. 

The final result has been very well received by the local community, and continues to receive praise for its visually pleasing and functional design.  The project was a recipient of an ACENZ Award of Merit, 2001, given in recognition of an Outstanding Project.
