Opus completed a new deck structure for HMS President on the River Thames.
Although titled HMS this is the shore based London HQ of the Naval reserve, with jetties out into the river. Downstream from St Katharine’s Dock, with its spectacular views of Tower Bridge, it is used for both Ministry of Defence training and corporate entertaining.

Following the removal of the old deck, the project centred on its replacement with a stylish sustainable hardwood timber deck, complimented by bespoke stainless-steel handrails.

The latest project for the RFCA (The Reserve Forces and Cadet Association) Greater London represents another piece of work that Opus has undertaken on this stretch of the River Thames.  Earlier, in 2004, Opus designed a new pontoon at HMS President, constructed in Holland and towed by tug to its position on The Thames.
