Global infrastructure consultancy, Opus International Consultants (Opus) is now an approved supplier for HS2 and is keen to explore the opportunities generated from this major infrastructure project.

Appointment on this select list, enables Opus to provide multi-disciplinary consultancy services across a wide range of deliverables in line with current Rail Industry Supplier Qualification Scheme (RISQS) product codes (formerly Link Up).

Martin Beasley (Rail Director – North) explains:  “We are keen to utilise collaborative partnerships with contractors and consultants tasked with delivering this landmark project. Opus has a wealth of experience in Rail, which includes initial site investigation and planning, design of temporary/permanent works, as well as construction and commissioning stages.”

Opus’ long term delivery of asset management and design services has enabled the business to develop an extensive understanding of the UK rail assets. This provides a strong connection with Network Rail’s policy, practices and priorities and enables Opus to provide effective solutions which are closely aligned with their strategic aims.

Specialist services such as Geotechnical, Environmental and Ecology can also be mobilised for site-facing data capture, whilst retaining excellent capability for design solutions to integrate rail infrastructure within an existing highway and transportation network.

Martin continues:  “We expect to bring considerable expertise and delivery focus to this scheme, with the ability to work closely with our clients and stakeholders in developing safe, efficient and high quality products. As a global company, we have access to the best engineering minds, including a research and development facility tasked with developing innovative solutions to the type of challenges that projects the magnitude of HS2 can present.”
