Andy Tovey (Director – Highways) from Opus International Consultants (Opus) will present on best practice in asset management at the North East of England Technical Lunch on 23rd October, which encompasses the wider area of best practice for road maintenance.
Having recently returned to the UK from Opus’ Whangarei office in New Zealand, Andy led a team of over 20 staff to deliver the NZTA Northern State Highway Network Management Contract. This contract had administering budgets in the region of $40M and Andy forged an open and collaborative approach to the delivery with the client and contractors, leading to a well-managed and maintained road network.
At the seminar Andy will discuss the recent moves by Highways Maintenance Efficiency Programme (HMEP) to promote asset management to deliver improved value and how to seek best value from a supply chain.
