Opus’ Cardiff office has achieved certification under BRE Global’s BIM Level 2 Business Systems Certification Scheme.

The certification scheme assesses whether businesses have the capability to use advanced 3D modelling tools and have the standards, methods, procedures (SMPs), skilled staff and infrastructure in place to ensure strict compliance with the UK’s Level 2 BIM mandate.

Daniel Rossiter of BRE Global said “BIM at Opus has been well thought out and implemented pragmatically. Opus has been able to integrate into their business systems tried and tested best practice. Certification with BRE is a milestone on Opus’ journey to Better Information Management.”

Achieving certification is a significant accomplishment for not only the Opus’ UK BIM team but the global team who have worked together to refine and clarify the business’ internal processes so that by achieving certification, Opus may share best practice globally.

The accreditation certifies that Opus has the processes in place to ensure that it’s people can deliver to a high standard and give our clients greater confidence in the outstanding service we offer.

The certification is another testament to our technical excellence, for which we were highly acknowledged when announced as Company of the Year at the NCE100 Awards this May.

Opus’ next step is to achieve certification for the remainder of the UK business.
