Opus is proud to be sponsoring the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation’s (CIHT) Asset Management Panel conference, ‘How to Create a Resilient Transport Network’.
In conjunction with Stirling Lloyd, Opus’ Andy Tovey (Director - Highways) will be speaking at a one day regional seminar about Asset Management Best Practice. Andy will be a guest speaker, joining many others, including Howard Robinson (Chief Executive of the RSTA), who possess a wealth of knowledge of highway maintenance and maintenance solutions.
In conjunction with the Road Surface Treatments Association (RSTA), Opus’ Andy Tovey (Director - Highways) will be speaking at a one day training course about High Friction Surfacing, and crack and joint repair systems. High Friction Surfacing has become instrumental over the past 50 years in preventing road traffic accidents, therefore saving lives, by reducing braking distances and improving skid resistance.
Principal Geotechnical Engineer at Opus International Consultants (Opus), Keith Nicholls, will speak at September’s European Conference on Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering and share with delegates his latest ‘Glossary of Terms Used in the Historic British Mine Working Industry’.
Opus International Consultants, the global infrastructure consultancy, celebrated National Women in Engineering Day on the 23 June. Opus, in conjunction with CEMAST (Fareham College’s dedicated Centre of Excellence for Engineering, Manufacturing and Advanced Skills Training) in Hampshire, hosted an engineering day for groups of girls from local schools.
