Opus is proud to be sponsoring the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation’s (CIHT) Asset Management Panel conference, ‘How to Create a Resilient Transport Network’.
The event is primarily aimed at local authorities, and will address the issues that can affect network resilience, including flooding and climate change. It will also cover how it can be approached from an asset management perspective, as well as in a local authority setting.
Technical Director Asset Management (UK) at Opus, Steve Draper, will be chairing the afternoon session, whilst Opus’ Senior Asset Manager, Damien Douglas, will be shedding light on a local authority approach to resilience. His talk will also touch on how it can be tied to asset management to reduce reactive intervention on strategic routes.
The Asset Management Panel aims to develop strategies, promote effective asset management systems and keep the industry informed of developing issues and practices.
